September 2006 – Tip of the Month
Each Series (Financial, Company, Purchasing, etc.) has a new menu item
on the palette in Great Plains version 9.0
that lists all reports available for a particular series.
To access the Report List:
- Reports
| <<select a series>> |Report List
The Report List will display all Reports and SmartLists (SmartLists have an
asterisk). The default columns can be
sorted and additional columns can be added to fit your search criteria, which
add to the flexibility of this tool.
- If a
row with a <<New>> option is selected, then it will open a
window where a new report can be created.
- After
creating, naming, and saving a Report Option, the new report will be
available in the Report List after clicking the Refresh button.
- Activate
the desired report by double-clicking on it.
- Finally,
add reports from the Report List to My Reports by using the Action | Add
to My Reports option as necessary to enable faster report generation.
